The fantasy tree

                                                     Once upon a time long ago at a old rusty farm there was a fantasy tree. This is no normal tree it’s a very special tree. More special than all the other trees surrounding it. The farmers call this tree the Fantasy Tree because that tree helps them grow kumara, potatoes, bananas and some special coconuts. “Ohh now I know why they call this the fantasy tree, now I know where to get my fresh kumaras and bananas from”. The good thing about this tree is that is attracts a lot of people's attention

But the sad thing is at least once a year these undercover ninjas try to cut and

steal this fantasy tree. The farmers a  sick of them trying to steal their tree but they have no option but to protect with all their heart. As night falls the ninjas will come in any minute now, as they are waiting all they can hear is the strong wind and the dogs barking. They can finally see the ninja about to approach them so they get ready to get into battle.

After 6 hours in battle, the war had finally came to an end a the farmers had won again, the happened again a they went thru the same situation over and over again. The farmer were so angry that the barricaded half the land.  

Until one day the farmers were fed up with the ninjas. So they came up with and idea with the ninjas which was a treety “ huhuh get it, treety “. so that night when the ninja would come again, once the farmers saw the ninjas the yelled at them and said “ Hey youse we need to talk to you for a minute”. So they put their weapon down and slowly walk over to each other. So, long story short they ended up making a treety for the ninjas to never ever try and steal the tree of fantasy. Then so they lived happy ever after. The END

Write a brief paragraph explaining the rusting process (why rusting occurs)

Oxygen from the air mixes with water. The iron surface of the nail reacts with the oxygen mixed in the water. It forms iron oxide. Iron oxide reacts with the water. It forms hydrated iron oxide - red stuff we call rust. This process continues until all the iron is eaten up.

How could you prevent something from rusting?

Use paint and alloys (mixes of metals). Another way of avoiding rust is using spray-on wax or oil coatings that the car companies sell. One alloy that could be used is stainless steel, which helps the the iron to last longer (rusts slower). Keep iron away from water and oxygen. Another way is by galvanising. This means to coat Zinc over iron and only the zinc will be affected but you can easily wash it of. You could also use a coating of paint to stop water from getting into cracks to stop or to slow down the rusting process.

We learnt that oxygen, air and water is what causes things to rust. Also we didn’t know that rust could be prevented by painting over the metal, using spray-on wax or oil coatings. All iron objects can be rusted if they are exposed by oxygen and water including trains, bikes (chains), skateboards (wheel bearings), house roof and many other things. One interesting fact that we found out was that the harbour bridge has the biggest paint job to prevent it from rusting.

All Blacks - Narrative.

“And they have done it again”. As the All Blacks defeat Australia 28 - 21 with the winning try in the last dying minutes of the game. After the sensational, breathtaking game both teams went back to their changing room either celebrating or  other case feeling down that they never won the final for nation. A while later the teams when out and prepared to get their awards.

“And I would like to announce the runners up for the 2015 world cup AUSTRAILIA”. When the Australians when up to get their  award the captain Stephen Moore said a short and short speech. “Now the Reigning champions The All Blacks”. As the All Black go up all you can is the audience is shouting with joy and excitement ( probably the supporters back in New Zealand is shouting at the T.V with Joy as well as the supporters who came overseas to supporters us).

And now it’s the time we have been waiting for and Richie Mccaw has the honors to lift the cup up one last time. All the his team then bring out the wine and beer and pop it as they were celebrating on the podium. When they finished celebrating they all went the separate ways and then the next day they had a fitness test just so that when they play other teams they can play at a high tempo and run around their opposition.

 

And finally the international season has come to an end. With a lot of history been made. This year's world cup has been very successful. And I can’t wait for the next World cup, Hopefully they could have the world cup in the pacific islands.

Highlights of the term:

For me this term has been a successful term in class and also when it come to sports. In the classroom I have very committed in my learning so that it can help me in the future. My first highlight of this term is the sports and the technology that we have at Pt England School. My second highlight of this term is how all the sport teams have been very successful in Netball, basketball, rugby and many more sport. My reflections about my highlights have come to an end and I hope you enjoyed reading about my highlights.

Funny moments:

All I remember was when Peteli got snapped by Mrs Tele’a playing Deluge which is a game that is related to Pokemon. When Mrs Tele’a snapped Peteli he got stood up and had to hold Mrs Tele’a arm and walk around the team 5 block, when petel while he was walking he felt embarrassed. After a while he got sent back to class and told Mrs Tele’a that he would never be dogey again, But the funny thing was that Peteli got snapped again the next day playing the same game.

Memories:

My coolest moment at school was 2014 when me our team went to the eastern zone tournament for rugby in year 6 and 5. All I remember was Pt England vs Tamaki Primary in the final. I remember when Taimana kicked the ball across the field and Sateki dived like superman and scored the winning trie.
