Our awesome swimming lessons

Have you had swimming lessons with an instructor before?class9 walk down  to the glen innes aquatic center to.We go every day but at different times.We all go swimming so that we don’t drown in sea and in the pool. our instructor for group three is Carlotta, for group two is Laura and  for group one is Jackie.

Before I get in the water we go shower we wash our hair our face and our legs. ‘’Im getting better at swimming’’ I said to miss lavakula. I'm getting better at freestyle and backstroke I just need to work on my arm circle because I always rush.

I feel really happy about swimming. One thing that I learned at swimming was that I can freestyle without stopping and another thing I learnt was that  not to rush when doing swimming because you would get really tired and be slow.

 The sun shone brightly as we walked quickly To our swimming lessons.I was feeling exhausted from the brisk walk. As I dipped my toes into the glistening water, I felt a cold jolt run up my leg. I quickly dove in the and I felt refreshed as if the day behind me  disappeared.

Alfa's year 5 and 6 2014 camp

It’s going to be an exciting day!’’ I thought to myself.the children in year 5 and 6 came to camp but not all year 5s in our class came to camp. We camped out on our school field.

On the last day of camp we had super fun because we all went to the Mangere pools. It was a awesome outdoor pool because they had a bombing pool and a swervey slide.  And we played rippa rugby,cricket,volley ball then we had go shower and then we got changed in to our and went back to school about 3:00 afternoon and went back home.

I was sad that camp is over but  I had a really good experience and maybe I’ll learn more next year. How to cook and how to kayak better and faster and maybe I can be the leader next year I can’t wait for next years camp.

Hi my name is Alfa and we are the caretakers and we are at camp for three days and we are doing awesome things like cooking,kayaking and races with the carebears.Are tents are so awesome and we eat yummy food mmmmmmm!.and then about 3:00 we went to the glen innes pools and it was fun. After that we went back to school for dinner and then

we watched a movie but bad thing about that is the movie was always gliching on so we just went to bed and it was cool because we where talking nearly all night and so the next day we had breakfast and now we get to do freeplay.

1. Why are kakapo special and protected in New Zealand?cause its a protected nature reserve

2. Why can’t kakapo fly? cause its far too heavy and its the heaviest parrot in the world.

3. A kakapo is a nocturnal animal. Explain what nocturnal means that it is active at night but not day time

4. Rats and stoats are pests. Why are they pests?cause they eat birds eggs and birds

5. The only way to get to this island is by helicopter. Explain what boats can’t land there

boats can’t land on codfish island cause rats and stoats,mice could be hiding somewhere

on the boat and sneak ashore.
